Dock and Slipway Rules and Regulations

Use at your own risk.

Respect swimmers and other boaters in the area.

No Wake Zone around the docks and up and down river as marked.

Follow all boating safety rules.

Docks must be kept clear at all times.

Boaters are responsible for removing garbage and keeping the area clean.

Keep the noise down. Remember, sound amplifies around the water! Quiet after 10 pm.

No boats can be left at Roger’s Landing except boats with permitted docking spaces through the draw system or boats that are launching (30 minute limit.)

No unattended vehicles at Roger’s Landing.

No slipway usage after dusk.

No fishing off docks.

Users must follow all environmental precautions.

Any boat left at Roger’s Landing that does not have a signed berthing agreement is subject to a financial penalty and/or removal from the facility at owner’s expense. Boats tied up for 30 minutes or less in designated launch tie up space are exempted from this rule.

Unattended vehicles may be subject to financial penalty and may be removed at owner’s expense.
Boaters accept all risks associated with usage and are responsible for their own boat. Three-hour tie up spaces are available across the river at Bissell Park docks.
Donations to the operation of Roger’s Landing can be made by e-transfer to rogerslanding@outlook.com, by cheque to River John Community Action Society, PO Box 161, River John, NS, B0K1N0. There will also be a donation box on site at Roger’s Landing.
